dressr

Privacy policy

Last updated: 4 November 2026

dressr is a wardrobe app for Android. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. The short version: there are no accounts, your wardrobe is stored on your phone, and we don't sell or share your data for advertising.

dressr is run by krodo Tech LLC ("we"). Questions: hello@getdressr.app.

What stays on your phone

Your clothes, their photos, looks, calendar plans, trips, wear history and settings are stored only on your device. We have no copy of them. If you uninstall the app or clear its data, they are gone unless you made an export. Exports (.zip files) are created on your phone and go only where you choose to send them.

What leaves your phone, and why

DataWhenWhere it goes
Photos of clothes, screenshots, and text from shop pagesWhen you add a pieceOur service at api.getdressr.app passes the image to Photoroom (to remove the background) and to Google Gemini (to recognise the piece and suggest care). We don't store the photos; they are handled in memory and the result is sent back to your phone.
Shop links you paste or shareWhen you import from a linkOur service opens that page to fetch the product photo and description.
Name, type and fabric of a pieceWhen you tap "Suggest care"Sent to Google Gemini via our service to suggest washing instructions.
A random install IDWith each request to our serviceUsed only to apply a fair daily limit. It is created by the app, isn't linked to your name, email, phone or advertising ID, and the daily counts are deleted after 48 hours.
Your city or approximate locationFor the forecastThe coordinates of your city (or of your approximate location, if you tap "Use my location") are sent to Open-Meteo to get the weather. Precise location is never requested, and location is not sent to us.
Crash reportsIf the app crashesA technical report (error, app version, phone model and Android version) is sent to Sentry so we can fix the bug. It contains no photos, wardrobe data, location, or personal details.

Data in transit is always encrypted (HTTPS). Our service runs on Cloudflare. The providers above process data only to provide their function, under their own privacy terms: Photoroom, Google Gemini API, Open-Meteo, Sentry, Cloudflare.

What we don't do

Permissions

Your choices

You can delete any piece, or all your data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling. You can turn off location and notifications at any time in Android settings. Because we don't keep your wardrobe or link requests to you, there is no personal data on our side to access or delete; if you have a question about this, write to us.

Children

dressr is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
